History
Siscol is today mostly known as a company in India dealing with engineering, manufacturing and erection of steel structures. However, the name Siscol has also another, parallel history.
In Sweden, Siscol was for the first time formed in 1965 as a trading company, mainly dealing with export of packaging and printed material for the Esselte Group with a lot of business in the Middle East during the 1970’s. The office was located in Norrköping, a coastal town in the South East of the country. Esselte was in that time big within all kinds of printing and packaging but is today focusing on manufacturing of office products and business supplies. Apart from the Esselte business, Siscol also dealt with trading of additives for the food industry. After the retirement of the founders, Siscol AB was liquidated.
The company name was reactivated and registered again in 2022 when our company Siscol HB was formed using the same viking ship logo as the old company. Nowadays, the abbreviation Siscol stands today for:
